The Message is all wrong

The Message is all wrong

For quite some time now I have been struggling with the juxtaposition of Religious doctrine espoused weekly in our local churches against their growing toe dipping into the political sphere.  They are of course following the lead of their Diocese, conferences, etc., and it is a centuries old story.  Church corruption and the manipulation of God’s plan to suit social and political ideologies have been a root cause of repression, aggression and obsession for millennia; the rise and fall of the Holy Roman Empire, the Crusades, the Reformation, etc.  It’s not new in our Time or in our culture.

In my lifetime and especially of late, I am increasingly finding myself at odds with Church and state.  God’s message of Love, caring, responsibility and good works have transgressed itself on the pulpit into social political commentary relative to division of the societal classes being exacerbated by our nation’s current socialist political leanings.  The targeted political divisiveness strategy now being employed by our country’s leadership for political expediency of advancing the Socialist agenda has ripped more than one hole in the underlying fabric of our Liberty and harmony as a nation. More has been done in five years to purposefully divide our Union than in the last two hundred and thirty-seven.

So I am dismayed to have been sitting in a small town Methodist sanctuary this morning listening the a mature but new Minister to this congregation degenerate a message about God’s Calling of the Heart and His imploring of His flock to seek Him through their Love and their deeds at all costs and with every fiber of their total capability, into a wealth is Evil and the Wealthy are Damned message.

It was clearly not his intent.  I believe somewhere in his conscience, his heart was true.  But wrapped up in all the orchestrated propaganda afflicting our lives each day, he just could not help himself.  The truth of his political leanings had to come out and his personal message of redistributed wealth over shadowed the beauty of God’s word.  In watching the Congregation and their reaction to his words, I would suspect he did some damage to the foundations of his Church this morning.

The dominant offshoot of the class warfare strategy is that it has divided the society into producers and consumers, givers and takers.  So many people are being cultivated to Take and Expect and to Believe they are Entitled to what others have made and earned  that the generosity of the producers is being tested to the core.

I personally no longer give like I used to, I still give generously, but I pick and choose my Charities VERY carefully after fully vetting their social leanings, their commitment to those they seek to help and the needs of those they provide for.  The Lord says we are not to sit in judgement of others, but He also compels us to be wise in using His Gifts to do good in the world.  We must be wary of Charlatans and Deceivers.  We must be just as wary of those who manipulate His Message for the advancement of political ideology as we must of those who do so for their own personal gain.

Knowing that the head of a Religious organization to which I could offer more of my time and talents in his heart believes I am evil for not writing a bigger check to his Church so that he can redistribute my time and talents for me makes my decision a lot easier.  I shall continue to give generously to do good in the world with organizations who will wisely use my gifts and not squander my talents to advance a redistributive political policy.

President Obama’s “Phony” Scandals” – a new post by contributing blogger Ed Riordan

President Obama’s “Phony” Scandals

Yesterday, the President of the United States appeared in Jacksonville to roundup this week’s portion of his current speaking tour on the subject of the economy. Pundits and observers agree that the appearances he has made in the past week were merely presentations of recycled speeches from the campaign trail, and the real purpose of his road trip to a number of American cities was a political one, designed to gin up his support base at a time of his plummeting popularity in the polls, and to distract the public from the plethora of scandals plaguing his administration. Some of the President’s more notable remarks, made reference to Washington’s focus on what he termed “phony” scandals. With unresolved issues like the tragic death of four Americans in Benghazi, the targeting of political enemies by the IRS, the spying done on of American citizens by the NSA, and the intrusion on the first amendment rights of the press at the top of most Americans minds when this President’s scandals are mentioned, his remarks were the red meat dream of his political opponents.  One after another the intellectually honest talking heads in the media lambasted Mr. Obama for referring to such real and important open investigations as “phony”.

This writer agrees with that sentiment, but, in the interest of taking the POTUS literally, took pause to reflect on the real “phony scandals” he continues to be faced with. In the first major act of his Presidency, challenged with addressing a national unemployment rate of 7.8%, Mr. Obama stood on a stage before all Americans espousing the benefits of a massive $1.2 Trillion economic stimulus package, making the promise that all that targeted spending for shovel ready jobs would reduce our unemployment rate to less than 6% by the end of 2012. Since that time, the President begrudgingly admitted there really were no shovel ready jobs, and according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the unemployment rate at the close of June 2013 in the US was 7.6%.
When selling the public benefits of his later adopted landmark achievement, the Affordable Care Act, the President promised Americans that liked their insurance that they could keep it, those who liked their doctors could keep them, and that insurance premiums would plummet as a result, saving the Average American $2,500 a year. As the implementation of Obamacare has evolved, Americans have found all three promises amounted to one tall tale of deceit.

Obama also frequently promised Americans he would oversee the most transparent administration in the history of the Nation, but we were in fact treated to a roll out of stonewalling and cover ups on all the controversies of his tenure from Fast and Furious, to Benghazi and the use of the IRS to assault his political enemies.
For all his promises of the first post-racial Presidency, Mr. Obama has in fact played the race card at every opportunity, to be divisive and gin up distrust at times of critical opportunities to unite Americans.

While some would say with righteous indignation that there are no “phony” scandals before us, I’ll choose to disagree by remembering the scandals of phony promises to Americans like me who are becoming resoundingly disappointed with the phony in the Whitehouse.

Guest Blogger – Ed Riordan: Attorney General Eric Holder’s agenda both violates his oath and hurts those he purports to help

Today we welcome guest columnist Ed Riordan to Politically UnEZ.  Ed is a strong Constitutional Conservative who is politically engaged both in his home state and nationally.  He has written many articles and is a leader in the fight for Conservative Values, dedication to the Constitution and defense of our Founder’s ideals.   He is no stranger in the offices of our Congressional Representatives and has met with the Speaker’s staff on the IRS scandal and Veteran Affairs during last month’s Tea Party Rally in DC.  I know you will enjoy his opinions.

Attorney General Eric Holder’s agenda both violates his oath and hurts those he purports to help

Attorney General Eric Holder strongly condemned “stand your ground” laws at a speech before the National convention of the NAACP in Orlando, FL, saying the measures “senselessly expand the concept of self defense”. He said that “the list of resulting tragedies is long and, unfortunately, has victimized too many who are innocent.” Mr. Holder would be wise to check the data in light of his making these comments in the context of a more broad discussion of claimed racial inequality, in which the populace was whipped in to a frenzy by deceptive media and political operatives seeking to gain ground by inciting emotional, racially grounded contempt of the law of the land.

According to an independent analysis by The Daily Caller of a database maintained by the Tampa Bay Times, African Americans use Florida’s “stand your ground” defense claims at a rate of 33% of the time in homicide cases, nearly twice the percent of the state’s population they comprise. Additionally, the exercise of the strategy by African Americans exceeds those of the state’s white population rate and results in a successful defense in 55% of the claims by the group, matching the statewide average and also exceeding the successful rate of use of the defense by whites.

In addition to ignoring the glaring facts, which never seem to matter to the politically and racially motivated Attorney General, he needs to be reminded that he is charged with the preservation, protection and defense of the constitution and laws of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic. Bowing to mobs calling for their own brand of justice in a Nation of laws contradicts his obligation and oath. Holder is specifically charged with protecting the unalienable rights of our citizens, those rights we have as individuals that come from God and are not granted by the government. Holder cannot take away those rights in a society comprised of free citizens, and any attempt to do so should frighten the free people of a Nation founded by believers in Judeo Christian doctrine who attribute the granting of our innate rights from the Creator and not the government.

Our laws recognize that the inherent right to immune defense of one’s self from an aggressor is annunciated in the Bible, Torah, and the Jewish law of the Talmud.

Exodus 22:2 World English Version states “ If the thief is found breaking in, and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt of bloodshed for him”.

Jewish law set forth in the Talmud states “ if someone comes to kill you, arise quickly and kill him”.

Christian Roman Catholic doctrine, per the Catechism of the Catholic Church 1994, cites and quotes Saint Thomas Aquinas, and asserts “Someone who defends his life is not guilty of murder even if he is forced to deal his aggressor lethal blows”

Protestant Doctrine on the personal and unalienable right to self defense, even against the government, in Samuel Rutherford’s Lex, Rex (1644 and the 1982 Sprinkle Publications edition) cites Luke 22:36, “Jesus advised his disciples to arm themselves in view of likely persecution”

None less than Cicero, Rome’s greatest orator and advocate of personal liberty, argued that the right to self defense was natural and inborn, and not a creation of the government, and that the right to use weapons was a necessary part of that right, and that any view to the contrary was nonsense.

Holder’s contempt for law, both natural and constitutional, not only makes him unfit for his office, but serves to undermine rights that are the very basis of our society. His race baiting and politicization of his position serves to divide when we should unite as the Nation of laws we are. He is seeking to destroy both doctrine and laws that are long recognized and defended as the very fabric of western civilization.

Justice by One’s Peers Prevails

Well I am back from a month of travels just in the nick of time.

The verdict is in.

After so many trials of hype and media frenzy in the past decade, the Zimmerman verdict is another reaffirmation that the American system of justice simply works when trial by a jury of ones peers rules the verdict.

Zimmerman, like Casey Anthony, like OJ Simpson and many other high profile creations of a news industry run amuck became victims of a media system which holds the First Amendment in one hand and the quest for personal aggrandizement in the other while standing on a barrels of advertising money and most recently wearing a hat of political influence.

In spite of fame seeking prosecutors intent on media attention to foster their graduation to careers of lucrative private practice, book deals or “expert” talking heads, and in spite of similar minded defense attorneys looking for the most controversial cases they can take to the court of public opinion, either guilty or innocent, and in spite of varying competence level of justices serving on the bench who often wear their political, socio-economic and racial biases on their sleeve, the Jury of ones peers prevails as the ultimate arbitrator of guilt or innocence.

Time and again, the common man or woman has been proven in collective bodies to have the foresight, insight and conviction of moral character to cut through the theatrics, hype and hysteria to pronounce a thumbs up or thumbs down unanimous decision or to have the courage to comeback with a stalemate.  Not enough evidence to provide a decision one way or the other.

The Zimmerman case more than any other fell victim to the most media fed racial prejudices, since Rodney King and OJ Simpson.  Fueled my charlatans, false prophets, and bigoted politicians at the highest levels, it was quite a feat that a jury could be seated at all.  Now that the system as prevailed and Justice has been served, the scum is starting to leech out of the pond.   The next few days will be full of second guessing, emotional outbursts, cries for vengeance from the violent elements of our society and probably more than one clash with police and peaceful protestors.  Amidst all of this circus filled atmosphere, six people, selected through the biases of the individual counsels and ultimately found acceptable to both, tasked with the impossible charge; deciding the fate of the life of an individual professing their innocence and charged with a heinous act, served admirably and should be commended.  Although some will fall prey to the bright lights of their fifteen minutes, many will remain anonymous, choosing to fall back into the obscurity of their every day lives.  Bravo to you who serve without complaint, and take this sacred task to heart.

You are the soul of the American Justice System.

It All Started with the School Bus

I don’t know about you, but I need a break from Benghazi, Wire Tapping of our Press, the IRS politically targeting conservatives and Jews, and the Criminal Society, which has become our current executive administration in Washington.  So let me tell you a light-hearted (by comparison) story about how I discovered the root of our entitled class problem in this country.

A few years ago while at an art show, I was lamenting the overreaching of the entitled class to the very liberal wife of a local artist I admire when she surprised me with a decidedly insightful viewpoint that changed the way I viewed the root cause of the problem.

“It all started with the school bus”, she told me in an off-handed almost weary dead pan droll.

She went on to explain, “The moment, sometime in the early 1940s, that most states began requiring that all productive movement stop in deference to Little Johnny getting on or off a School Bus because his Mom and Dad were too dim-witted to educate the little tyke on the dangers of stepping in front of a 2 ton piece of machinery traveling at 30 miles per hour, our society as we know it was screwed.”

And, upon some deep contemplation I have determined that she is most likely correct.   That this pint sized patent zero of the entitlement class, shrouded in this new air of invulnerability, unwittingly ushered in the age of self aggrandized importance.  Yes, suddenly, Little Johnny, sweater mis-buttoned, shoes untied, hair uncombed, who managed to make it to the school bus by way of awkward uncoordinated bipedalism, only after spitting out his gum …. was special.

Someday, some right thinking anthropologist will gleefully point to that moment in time as the precursor to grading on a curve, the participation trophy, sports where they don’t keep score, creative spelling, and new math.

But in a more modern and more dire perspective we have, with that simple act of over-protection, blossomed into a society of WIC, Food Stamps and EBT cards, Affirmative Action, quotas, free school breakfast, free lunch, free healthcare, free birth control, free abortions, free cell phones, free daycare, section 8 housing, heating credits, tuition subsidies, tax credits, free bus passes, free internet, and government cheese.

People from around the world, ( those that are not trying to kill us ) are striving everyday to make it to the new Utopia of freedom.  Freedom from work, responsibility, and productive contribution that is.  Welcoming them to a land of unbridled handouts and government subsidies, where we treat our uneducated and undeserving children like child stars who should never want for anything, and our illegal alien law breakers as honored guests complete with welcome wagon like coupons for all types of free stuff on the backs of the 1%.

To a land where because of the subversion of our education system our young people cannot name a single Cabinet Member, but know to vote for the cool guy who promises them free stuff.  Who, without the need to succeed, believe that appearing, as an idiot on Jaywalking, is a badge of honor.  Who show up for interviews in flip flops, with their pets, friends and even answer text messages during the process.  Who often show up late because they could not afford bus fare but sport new iPhones, elaborate tattoos and expensive piercings.  Whose addresses oddly match those of their parents well into their thirties and who’s ambitions go no further than beating the next level on a new $100 video game on their $600 gaming console while decrying their inability to afford fuel to get to, heaven forbid, a job interview.  They don’t have the sense to do the simple math necessary to know that the Occupy stupidity cannot economically succeed in anything but homelessness and cannot make change from a $20 dollar bill if they had one.

And how did we ever get here as a society?

… It all started with the School Bus.

The Ideology of Greed

There is a problem with our 2 party political system which may not be obvious to some, (besides the fact that this whole one person one vote, or one person two vote thing isn’t working so well lately).

Being a Conservative, I am always looking for reasons why liberalism survives and thrives.  Especially in the face of the toll it is taking and historically has taken on the middle class.  The lie of “Free Stuff” is so transparent to us on the real right that it is difficult to rationalize how it can be so broadly bought into by those it ultimately hurts.

When looking at the differences between the two ideologies, liberal left, represented mostly by the Democratic Party and the Conservative right, represented mostly, and at least superficially by the GOP, the real differences in perspective and patience crystalize.

The Left is an ideologically driven movement.  It has been throughout history.  Today’s Democrats are masters at message manipulation.  Since the party was first hi-jacked by the Progressives in the fist and middle parts of the 20th century they have worked hard to build a machine that promotes collectivism, socialism, indoctrination, class warfare toward the creation and mobilization of the “Entitled” class.  They have been very patient.  The previous surge of the Social Democrats, exposed and run underground by the McCarthy trials slowed them down, but also allowed them to regroup and refine the divisive and subversive tactics that have gotten us here today.    They have used the gift of time wised by systematically infiltrating our schools and universities, our mainstream media, our civic intuitions, labor unions and many of our local governing bodies as well as the United Nations, to now capitalize in a very “Organized” way on the recent phenomenon of social media to organize and mobilize, indoctrinate and reeducate our youth toward the Liberal ideology.

It was Lincoln who said: “At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.”

And so we have set the stage through our free society that allowed the enemy to rise from within and shake the foundations of our house divided.

There should be a counter to the internal attack on the Foundation of our free society.   One would assume it would be the Conservative ideology, governed by fairness and logic, free will, entrepreneurship, capitalism and personal responsibility.   By alas here lies the problem.

True Conservatives who believe in the ideology, live it, breathe it and work tirelessly to advance it are in the minority.  People like Trey Dowdy, Rand Paul, Paul Ryan and a few others are forced to fight an ever-uphill battle internal to their GOP party.  That internal battle is against greed.

As feverishly as the Liberal movement focuses every breath they take on the advancement of the Socialist Ideology, the mainstream and establishment Conservative counter to that is an equally tireless effort to seek the best vehicle for building personal wealth, Republic and ideology be damned.  It is why we see Conservative Icons like Karl Rove, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, John Mica, etc. attacking and denigrating the upstart true Conservative Tea Party activists recently elected into office.  The threat to the status quo and the potential breakdown in the flow of power and cash is so great, they are willing, no more than willing, driven, to throw the precepts of our Founding Fathers overboard to retain that power and access to money.

It’s a sad state of affairs that the true conservative leaders of today are forced to fight a two front war for the survival of our free society.  And both exist internally.  One from the ideologically opposed Left, and one from the greed driven self interested Establishment Right.   It is probably already too late to turn the drift to Socialism around through activation of counter measures targeting the Left’s Social Driven campaigns focused on our youth.  Most likely it will be impossible without the full faith and trust of the GOP behind that effort.  That it not going to happen.  Instead the Leadership of our Grand Old Party is going to work tirelessly to make sure they have a safe landing in the new Socialist paradise and the free Republic can go to Hell.

With the Entitled class, growing in numbers everyday by appealing to the naivety of our youth to causes such as Agenda 21, Gun Control, Civil Rights, etc. and with illegal immigration amnesty adding to the Democratic rolls with the promise of raping “The Rich”, what chance do we have?

I wish I could think of a positive end to this article.   But it is beyond my horizon today.   Maybe another unifying act.  Maybe North Korea is about to do us a favor.  The only thing we can be sure of is the America we knew, is no longer the America we know.

I am an Armed Citizen

I live in a small sized city.  Due to the nature of my business and activities I have a slightly public image in a rather defined demographic.  Because one of my roles is in public service, I sometimes have to take unpopular public positions on issues that affect people emotionally and financially.

While our city is considered very safe compared to many, I have had acquaintances get held up as they’ve come out of their homes for their morning paper.  I have had friends mugged while enjoying an evening on the town. I have had a business robbed… twice.  I have had to outrun an irate and road raged driver on the highway.   My wife and I live alone in a nice community but near the woods and a major highway.   I know that we have one of the best, most highly regarded Police Departments in our state, but I also know that it could be 4 to 5 minutes before one can show up to an emergency.  The difference between life and death.

Therefore, I am an armed citizen.

It is my right, and my responsibility.  It is my sacred obligation to be able to protect and defend my family, my life, and property.   I don’t need public approval, social acceptance, or have to rely on laws to tell me how I should do this.  The 2nd amendment and my common sense tell me all I need to know.  Even without the 2nd Amendment, the right of a man to protect those he loves is unchallengeable despite the civic or criminal consequences.  I will never be the guy that just watched as bad things happened to me family.  A close friend in law enforcement uses the term, “I would rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6”.  I could not agree more.

To me, it is as natural as putting on my socks.   My wife and I are armed 24 hours a day.  I am physically uncomfortable if my pocket gun is out of my pocket.   I cannot relax watching TV on the other side of the house knowing that my firearm is in the bedroom and the front door is between me and it.  So it stays in my pocket.   I don’t take my dogs out at night for their last pee, without first making sure it is in my robe or pajama’s pocket.   I don’t check the mail without, or answer the door, …ever.  We keep his and hers side arms attached to our bed, and a short barrel pistol grip multi-round 12 gauge within reach.  I started to feel silly about taking my handgun out on the patio with me when my wife and I enjoyed our hot tub, until a police chief friend I highly respect told me he takes his “into” the tub with him and lays it underwater, within reach so he doesn’t have to lunge for it in an emergency.  I carry at least one extra magazine at all times.  I take at least 2 guns on trips where legal and try not to travel to areas where being able to protect my family or myself is not legal.

And, before you think I am a mafia don, or some other miscreant, I’ll tell you that I am nice guy.  I fulfill a civic role, I am an independent business owner creating jobs and contributing to the local economy, I have raise successful children, I play golf, the guitar, like cars, motorcycles, little dogs, and ice cream, ( to a fault ).  I am a Christian, love my Wife, love my Mom and I Pray.   I have a concealed weapons permit.  I am law abiding and I have only ever been in a courtroom to see a judge sentence the people who robbed me … twice … to probation with no jail time.

There are many like me.  I am an armed citizen, but I could be your spouse, your neighbor, your clergy, mail carrier, or the guy who cuts your grass.

I look at the knee jerk laws that were passed today in Connecticut and watch the debate in DC and across our country and am dismayed by the ignorance of our elected leaders.   I know full well it is a shame, a false sense of security.  It give people a feel good moment, but that is all.  The criminals, terrorists, thugs and gang members, laugh at our laws.  We are making their job easier.  Good law abiding citizens who don’t want to break the law or are afraid to, are sheep in a world of coyotes.  The elected representatives of Conn. Just lit an open for business sign on the unsuspecting citizens of their small sleepy communities.  A brightly let neon sign that says to all criminals and bad guys, “Unarmed Sheep Ahead, Attack at Will”

I, and thankfully my Wife, prefer to be sheep dogs.  We will not let any temporary government get in the way of our right to protect those we love.  I pray the good representatives of my state do not make me a criminal for protecting the lives of my loved ones and my property.  And I pray for the sheep in NY, CT, CA and other liberal bastions of do-gooders who now have targets on their backs.

God bless and keep the good citizens of Connecticut.

I wish this was originally mine, but it is not.

I don’t know who the author is.  It was sent to be in an email but I thought it was so relevant I wanted to share it here on the PoliticallyUnEZ blog.

More and more we are seeing this play out in society.  It has already caused the destruction of our way of life and before the next four years are over, maybe our Republic.  This isn’t a new concept.  But it is the first time in my lifetime I can remember seeing it so masterfully played out by the left.  The Socialists and the Communists currently infiltrated within our Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches are hard at work and have created a tremendous machine far more talented than our Conservative opposition.  I think they have two sides of the pen already in place with healthcare and immigration.  As they complete the third side with gun control and disarmament, all that is remaining is the nationalization of our banks, industry and finally our food supply to have us penned in.

There is nothing wrong with what Justice Scalia said today.  We need more like him, within our government to stand up, ignore the political correctness, and call a spade a spade, and call out entitlements for what they are which is the furthering of the Socialist ideal.

Enjoy the story.

CATCHING PIGS

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked: “Do you know how to catch wild pigs ?”

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.

The young man said that it was no joke. “You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. “When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. “They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. “The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.”

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America .. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Liberty Granted by God’s Grace Must Not Be Subverted by the Corrupt

I was reading from a book of Founding documents this morning and in my reading came upon the Ten Commandments.  It caused me to begin to contemplate again the influence of Religion on the founding of our country.   I have always been a stalwart believer in the hand of God in the development of our guiding principles.   No formed government has ever held true to the laws of God and used them in the development of its system, nor believed in their righteous guidance more than those engaged in the Colonies’ initial quest of liberty.   At every stage of our history the Hand of God has been present.  Leading us on through the flaws in our character and the evilness of our acts but forever seeking the way forward toward true freedom, liberty and equality, not only for our sake but in His light.

So today I am beaten down, distraught and betrayed in my faith in the Great Experiment by those who are working so desperately to destroy Her and to remove us from God’s influence and eternal blessing.

It certainly isn’t new to this age.  All through our history the corrupt have sought to turn the course of Liberty toward the darkening night of Socialism and Subjugation.  Jefferson, Madison, Adams, ( first ), Buchanon, Washington, all battled with influences that would destroy the fledgling fires of Freedom in deference to personal gain and those who would dismantle the very Foundations of opportunity for which they gave their life’s blood to kindle and stoke.

Lincoln has recently come under attack as being imperfect in character by those who would recreate him in their image of corruption. But he faced no different demons than the Founders.  Successfully navigating the sea of self interest and the mis-guided narcissistic power hungry in order to bring about a new face on this Nation and finally start on the long and winding road of Representative Democracy for all.

Throughout the last century we have faced it many times again.  Under Coolidge, Roosevelt, Johnson, Carter and now.  Those who would have as their legacy the “Fundamental Changing of America”.

As so, we are betrayed yet again in our Religious and Patriotic Faith by a Corrupt Congress and a Subversive President in Barak Hussein Obama.  We have a traitor in the Court, a pretender to the Throne and a complicit Congress of accomplices to the continuing removal of America from God’s grace.

We are witnessing a renewed attack on Christianity in favor of extremism in our country and indeed throughout the Western World.  We have a bevy of Leaders who are assisting in that destruction for the advance of a personal gain under the guise of a collectivist ideology.

We are witnessing a systematic attack on Liberty as one by one we watch our First Freedoms come under attach under the guise of National Security.  The 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 10th Amendments have all been directly attacked over the past four years.  The Supreme Court has been subverted through appointments of radical liberals shrouded in political correctness who are accomplices to the acts of traitors of the American Ideal.    The President and his supporters in Congress are now talking about bastardizing the intent of the 14th Amendment to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling, further relegating Congress, our Constitution and indeed our system of governance irrelevant.

Now, and once again there is a bill introduced by New York Democratic Rep. José Serrano titled H.J Res. 15 that would repeal the 22nd Amendment removing the Term Limit clause for Presidents.  It is in Committee.  You can be certain that if the liberal’s win the House in 2014, his measure will see the light of day.

The time has never been more important for patriots to speak out.  Speak out and Speak loud to our Leaders, in the press, in blogs, and most importantly to your family and friends who may not be paying attention or understand the impact of the times we live in.  Speak out and Speak loud on the issues of Fundamental Conservative Principle that have been attacked over the last four years:  of Gun Control, Immigration, National Debt, Government Spending, Destruction of our Military, Removal of God’s word from our Government and Schools, Abortion, Gay Rights, National Sovereignty, Misappropriation of our National Wealth, Redistribution, Subversion of our Health Care System, and so much more.  Be Loud, Aggressive, and above all Peaceful in your pursuit of Justice and understanding.  But speak out.

Start Now To Find Conservative Local Candidates For 2014

Governmental overreach begins a lot closer to home than Washington DC.  In fact for a lot of DC legislators, local government, where many of them began, was an apprenticeship in governmental bloat.  For local politicians that need little more than popularity and a modest amount of cash to get elected, it’s easy to be caught up in the desire to be all things to all people. Especially at the local municipal level of government.   The ability to provide for people is a heady ego trip for the uninitiated which brings with it titles, perks, acknowledgement, and sometimes lucrative business opportunities.  Of course the local elected want that to continue; who wouldn’t?  So the desire and requests to do more things for more people bring closed the full circle and the steady growth of bureaucracy is maintained.

Now consider the two main tenants of local government; to provide basic services and to provide for life safety.  That means access to clean water, electricity, sanitation and police and fire services.  That rather falls nicely in line with a Conservative view of government and there is no legal requirement for government to do more.

That, however, is rarely enough.  As cities grow and mature so does the bloat, the bureaucracy, and the drain on the taxpayers.

My city, a well run financially solvent organization, does all of the following in excess of their primary two required objectives.   As a result the citizens are taxed accordingly for the laundry list of services that should rightfully be left to the financial responsibility of HOAs and other community, non government organizations that citizens affected elect to belong to.

For clarity and understanding, add the words “…for which they need government employees and a tax payer funded budget” after each of the following and you will begin to see the problem with local government bloat:

  • Maintain an award winning Parks Department
  • Maintain an award winning Senior Center
  • Maintain a Civic Center for local events
  • Maintain Manicured street and highway medians
  • Host special community events, parades and street parties many times per year complete with fireworks
  • Police a very draconian city wide parking ordinance
  • Maintain a very draconian esthetic compatibility ordinance for anyone wanting to improve their homes or property.
  • Maintain a very restrictive Arbor program
  • Maintain a restrictive Sign ordinance that hinders business
  • Provide reduced cost meals to Seniors and Students
  • Provide Youth Summer Camp
  • Provide lucrative economic incentives for business

And the list goes on.

Some of these ‘amenities’ have come about because residence looked to the city to be their de facto HOA.   Some because a particular developer or business sold the city on an idea.   But all of them happened because an elected official wanted to do more things for more people, to make themselves more popular or to spread the wealth.  Isn’t tax money free money after all? (Especially if it’s not mine?)

There were times not so long ago where it was difficult for local governments to spend all the money that was coming in. It made bloat easy and it didn’t seem so bad.  But rising costs and falling property values are no longer keeping up with the increasing demands of a local population who are used to great parks, social events, and parades on the public dime.  It’s not that local government has become as bloated as DC.  It always has been.   Think about how much the average tax burden might be reduced if government did what it was supposed to and no more.

So with just two years to go before the next election and less than a year before many municipalities see the start of their local campaign seasons, what is the solution?

We should take a page out of the GOOOH Party (Get Out Of Our House Party) play book.

  • Form grass roots organizations now to seek out candidates you can believe in and who believe in the ideals above and then support them with your time and treasure.
  • Make every candidate for municipal office sign a contract with the people, in the media and put it out in the public domain that they pledge to uphold the fiscal responsibility of small government.
  • Make them commit to having the fortitude to say no, even if it means not getting re-elected.
  • Say No to special interest
  • Say No to fulfilling roles not clearly defined in the Charter
  • Push back into the communities what is theirs to deal with and leaving to the marketplace what the free market does best.
  • Make them know that each term is dependent on their performance to their pledge.
  • And elect qualified Conservatives who will serve with their honor and integrity intact.

That is how real hope and change are made.

Government works best that is closest to the people, the smallest size possible, and which taxes people the least.

Trump : American Male.              Crooked Hillary’s Crooked Media are frothing at the opportunity to victimize Donald Trump for being Male.  I have sad news for you Sunshine, put 2 or more men together and to varying degrees the conversation will turn to sex and conquest. It’s how we are genetically wired. It’s called survival of the species. Woman kind cannot remake us in their image. It’s unnatural.  We can be hypocrites to make you feel better, but there is no safe word, no safe place from being a man. And the strong women I know wouldn’t have it any other way.  If most of these whiny View watchers knew how their emasculated husbands talked about their Hot neighbor when they weren’t around they would be apoplectic.  There was a favorite 1980s comedian of mine who used to say, “If you knew what I was thinking right now, you would never stop slapping me.”   Now let’s all suck it up and get back to the issues.  I have no problem with what DJT said in a private conversation.
